Dakota Hankin (she/her) comes to Inatai Foundation as a Grants & Data Administrator with a strong personal commitment to equity and racial justice, especially when it comes to elevating the lived experiences of rural communities. Based in Jefferson County, Dakota joins the foundation with more than 15 years of experience in grant administration, program management, and data systems.

Prior to working at the foundation, Dakota served as an Impact and Evaluation Manager at Northwest Maritime to advance community-centered outcomes around programming and evaluation. She earned her undergraduate degree from Western Washington University where she majored in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Dakota holds a Master of Social Work from Boston College with a focus on Humanitarian Aid & International Development.

Outside of her day job, Dakota enjoys various activities where she can engage with nature that range from gardening to backpacking to sailing to hiking, as well as taking walks on the beach with her dogs, Tiny and Baylou. She also likes to create art, be it refining her talents in drawing or trying new skills like metalsmithing.
