Reann Gibson executes Inatai Foundation’s research strategy and builds relationships with communities to develop actionable information that builds community power.
They come to Inatai with a background in managing processes that uplift community needs and voice. They managed environmental justice grant programs at the Washington State Department of Health and the Healthy Neighborhoods Study, a statewide participatory action research study on gentrification, climate, and health at the Conservation Law Foundation in Massachusetts. Reann has a deep background in community engagement around racial and climate justice issues at the local and statewide levels. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and a master’s in public health from Boston University.
In addition to their dedication to justice, Reann is a passionate outdoors person who enjoys the beauty of Washington’s state and national parks. Reann lives in Tacoma with their partner, where they are an avid gardener and serve as the steward of the food forest in Charlotte’s Blueberry Park.
