Soumyo (shoh-moe) Lahiri-Gupta (he/him) is a Policy & Advocacy Manager, fostering the development of political relationships with communities throughout Washington and supporting the implementation of key public policy strategies on behalf of the foundation. He supports the implementation of Inatai’s policy priorities, annual state legislative agenda, and policy-related grantmaking.
A proud first-generation American, Soumyo brings a depth of experience in statewide campaigns and coalition building, having most recently served as the Immigration Advocacy Manager at OneAmerica, managing coalitions of community organizations to challenge federal anti-immigrant attacks through the development of shared policy platforms and campaigns to pass legislation in support of immigrant communities. Soumyo also held positions as the Regional Field Director, Southwest Washington for the Washington State Democrats and Political Director for Brent Hennrich for Washington. He holds a juris doctor degree from American University.
Soumyo lives in Clark County and is part of the Indian American and South Asian diaspora. He is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and community.
