Fautimah El-Mehrik

Program Associate

Fautimah oversees the daily functioning of our Seattle office operations and ensures that our guests and employees have a welcoming experience. She brings five years of customer service experience to her role, from when she worked as a barista at a small, neighborhood coffee shop. Fautimah earned her BA in sociology with a minor in diversity studies from the University of Washington, where she graduated in 2019. In addition to her studies, Fautimah’s experiences as a biracial woman have led her on a path to equity and social justice work.

In her free time, Fautimah loves spending time with family and friends, listening to music, exploring different kinds of art such as card making and photography and, most importantly, spending time with her cat Pierre.
