Stasha manages Inatai’s key political and government relationships across the local, state, and federal levels. She also supports the development and implementation of key policy frameworks that are vital to the Policy & Advocacy team’s ability to support the communities throughout Washington state.
Stasha has held executive roles in government, including with the City of Seattle, King County, and Washington and staff leadership roles with the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate as one of the youngest and few women of color to do so. Before Inatai, she served two Washington governors leading communications strategy on budget and operational issues. In her career, she helped pass more than a dozen state and federal laws and secured more than $21 billion in funding for Washington communities.
She was named Professional of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America and received Washington State’s Champion for Equity award. She is a proud alumna of the National Black Leadership Institute Fellowship, the Senator Henry Jackson Foundation Fellows, and the German Marshall Memorial Fellowship. Based in Tacoma, Stasha holds a master’s degree in communication, law, and policy from the University of Washington.
