As Inatai’s newest Communications Manager, Adanna Diaz-Escobar (she/her/hers) leads the implementation of communications campaigns aligned with the foundation’s 50-Year Vision. She manages the team leading content creation and storytelling across the foundation’s website, social media platforms, and newsletters. Adanna also serves as a key storyteller, editor, and champion for the Communications team’s work, while partnering with other departments to develop impactful narratives. Additionally, she spearheads communications for special projects and contributes to building the foundation’s communications infrastructure.
Prior to joining Inatai Foundation, Adanna was a Senior Strategist at Pyramid Communications, where she developed communications strategy and execution for numerous clients in the issue advocacy space. She brings extensive experience in many different levels of community power-building—from working as a Digital Organizer at SEIU 775 to being a News Editor at The Daily Evergreen.
Adanna’s approach to changemaking centers community and grassroots activism. As the descendant of migrant farmworkers with a passion for local radio programming, she has been surrounded by community her whole life. She is guided by her firm belief that power-building centers people and communities.
