As Training Manager, Luis works with a team responsible for leadership programming to help internal staff and external community leaders grow their leadership skills through a series of trainings programs and leadership cohorts. Before Inatai, Luis worked at Educational Services District 105 in south central Washington, where he supported student mental health and introduced restorative justice practices. He also served as the Migrant Education Program Support Specialist, providing leadership development training and direct support for migrant student leadership clubs. Earlier in his career, Luis was a program officer for the Yakima Valley Community Foundation, engaging and supporting young leaders through the Youth Leadership Council.
Luis is proud to call the Yakima Valley home, where he lives with his wife and their dog, Concha. The descendent of a long line of musicians, Luis loves music. He is a first-generation graduate with a B.A. in Business Administration from Heritage University. Luis serves on the boards of Yakima Music en Acción and School’s Out Washington.
